Troubles and problems:

I've been going to a ceramics class for fun and learning.  I am so amazed that God takes care of us, likened to a Potter. First, the Potter picks the clay and chooses it for use and what to use it for and how it will be used.

That could be a bowl, vase, bottle, wind chime, teacup, mug or whatever you need for life and that can be made of clay.

As we go through life we encounter problems and issues, some we have no control over, and others we do.

Life is full of character-development and maturing 'helps' some we sincerely do NOT WANT.
Like clay on the wheel in the Potter's hands we are centered, pressed, pushed, flattened, raised, flattened, created and then fired to a solid firmness -TWICE and that is only a quick synopsis, there is much more to the potter's handiwork.

Does that sound good, pleasant, nice, joyful? Not to our minds, we usually want life to smoothly fly by.

Not to our normal senses, or our comfortable lives. The process I just described is life, and as we live it, we can relax and accept the troubles and pressure, or we can object and fight the process.

Bully's, irrational neighbors, parents that fight, rejection, abandonment... Life has problems.  How will you respond? What will be your response, how do you handle stress?

I wish parents had a manual for parenting. One that explains the benefits of the 'crosses we bear' and the courage we can gain from them. We have the Word of God and if you read it with parenting or life in mind, the wisdom is perfect.

"Count it ALL JOY, when you face various trials"
James 1:2-8
"The joy of the Lord is our strength"
Nem. 8:10
"Do not murmur or complain"
Phil. 2:14
"Give thanks in ALL situations"
1 Thes. 5:18
"Faith creates freedom"
1 John 4:4
""You are never alone"
Deut. 31:6
"Ask, seek and knock"
Matt. 7:7

Troubles come and go, and we have all the tools needed to grow and mature. God allows pressure to build us up. Let's not run from trouble, or fight it.

Let our Master Potter build us into a beautiful strong vessel, fit for His use.  If you've been fighting, or rejecting troubles, repent of the selfishness and short-sighted views We can't see how it could be for good, Trust God to work it all out. ALL trouble is meant to build you up. I do suggest not taking other peoples troubles for your own though.

"His ways are not our ways, they are higher". He knows best.

Father KNOWS best. The Potter knows His clay. Be the clay.

Gen. 2:7 "and he took dirt, and made man"
